Heuser Consulting Group is built on the idea that human behavior does not exist in isolation. Trauma, stress, addiction, coping behaviors, relationships, leadership, and work environments are all connected, and over time they shape how people behave, how teams function, and how organizations operate.
Our work focuses on helping professionals and organizations understand these patterns: how the brain and nervous system respond to stress and trauma, how coping behaviors and addiction develop, how relationships and communication change under stress, how leadership and culture influence behavior, and how burnout and disengagement develop over time.
Many problems that appear separate — burnout, conflict, disengagement, addiction, mental health concerns, communication problems, and staff turnover — are often connected and develop over time through chronic stress, trauma exposure, coping patterns, leadership styles, and organizational environments.
Through training, education, and consultation, Heuser Consulting Group focuses on the intersection of trauma, stress, addiction, human behavior, leadership, and organizational systems, with the goal of helping professionals feel more confident, teams function more effectively, and organizations provide better services to the people and communities they serve.
About the Founder
About the Founder
Bailey Heuser is a behavioral health professional with fourteen years of experience across mental health and behavioral health systems, with clinical and program experience in dual diagnosis, personality disorders, substance use disorders including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), compulsive sexual behavior, trauma and PTSD, and betrayal trauma. Her work has spanned program operations, inpatient and outpatient treatment, private practice, school-based behavioral health, and government-contracted behavioral health programs, providing her with a broad understanding of behavioral health systems at both the individual and organizational level.
In addition to clinical work, Bailey has experience in program development, leadership, staff support, documentation and compliance processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through this work, she saw a consistent gap between what professionals are taught in school and what they are expected to manage in real-world environments — particularly when dealing with trauma, addiction, behavioral issues, complex family dynamics, and high-stress work environments.
She founded Heuser Consulting Group to provide behavioral health training, professional consultation, and program support for organizations and professionals who work with complex behavioral health and relational challenges. Her work focuses on helping professionals understand behavior, trauma, addiction, boundaries, power dynamics, and emotional regulation so they can respond more efficiently, treat clients more effectively, communicate more clearly, and build stronger systems within their professions.
Her approach is practical, realistic, and systems-focused. Rather than focusing only on theory, her trainings and consultation emphasize real-world application based on current research and evidence. Her goal is simple: to help professionals feel more confident, more prepared, and more effective in their work — which ultimately leads to better care for the clients and communities they serve.
